A few more days and the kids will be back in school. Usually, around this time, my freezer is already filled with pre-cooked sauces, meatballs and mini meatloaves. I do this to make sure that I have a stash of ready of eat, veggie loaded meal helpers. After all, take out and deliveries are not as convenient for us managing food allergies.
This year however, is a little different. I can’t do much prep, cooking and baking since my right foot got in the way. Yup, this mom is injured.
While I sit down nursing my sprained ankle, I can’t help but share with you one of my sneaky secrets in making my kids and I get more fruits and vegetables in our diet. Say Hello to Lynqlife Superfood blends.
I was first introduced to Lynq products last year at the Expo East in Baltimore. Made by a mom for her child, these powdered super food blends make fruits and vegetables accessible, convenient, portable and affordable. Oh, and it’s delicious too.
Unlike most supplements that contain synthetic vitamins, Lynqlife is made from organically grown fruits and vegetables that were dehydrated, ground into powder and packaged. Each serving contains up to 50% of our daily intake of Vitamins A, B, C, D, E and K. It also contains 6 grams of fiber and is a good source of potassium, calcium and folic acid. On top of that, these blends are:
- non GMO
- gluten free
- without added fillers
- soy free
- peanut and nut free
- price wise, a serving is less than $2
For the past few months, the Empowdered blend has been a staple in our pantry. It was a lifesaver when Child#1 had her braces and smoothies were all she can take.
Because it is non-flavored, I can easily add it to almost anything the kids like to eat. I often add two tablespoons of Empowdered in waffle or muffins batters. In fact, it didn’t affect the taste or texture of these mildly flavored and delicate matcha muffins.
Since it retains it’s nutritional value at any temperature, I can also add it to our favorite chili, slow cooker stroganoff and meatballs.
Sounds good right?
Since I really love to help you trick your kids into getting more vegetables and fruits in their diet, I reached out to the makers of Lynq. They agreed to give you, my beloved TFMFriends treat. Get 15% OFF entire purchase at their website. Just use the promo code FRUGALISTA .
That’s not all. As part of my back to school treat, I’m giving away a $55 LynqLife gift pack. This includes three full sized blends (Empowdered, Brainiac and Invincible) and super cute shaker. Just do the steps below to get free entries.
Take note, this giveaway is open to US and Canada residents, 18 years & up and will end on Sept. 15, 2018 11:59 pm EST.
The Lynq blend that I would like to try the most would be the Invincible Blend.
